The Best Dressed Stars at the 2023 Grammy Awards

Spread the love

Now that the 2023 Grammys are over, we’re officially halfway through awards season (we also have the SAG Awards, BAFTAs, and Oscars to name a few). But music’s biggest night certainly brought some stunning looks that surprised, stunned, and frankly blew us away (yes, we’re looking at you, Cardi-B).

As only music superstars do, many people walk down the red carpet fully dressed, then change clothes to speak or perform (are you Harry’s Red Carpet or Harry’s Stage?) Some don’t even walk the red carpet ( Ahem, Beyoncé, she was apparently stuck in traffic), only to be photographed in their seats or backstage.

Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves’ pink Valentino suit once again proved Barbiecore’s dominance. This feathered look is eclectic yet somehow refined—not overly dramatic, but certainly a statement piece. I love it! -D.S.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat is never the funniest person on the red carpet, and the Grammys are no exception. I respect her commitment to whatever the subject matter – this time, it’s all Tim Burton/Wednesday vibes. Anna Moslin, Associate Editor

Lourdes-Leon

We’re on the verge of a big Lourdes Leon moment, and I can feel it. Having just released her first pop single, she showed up at the Grammys in fiery red and said, “Wait. Next year I’ll be there as a nominee”. Hannah Lustig, Staff Writer

Beyoncé

Beyoncé’s clothes are for alien superstars. The queen was late to the show, but she made up for it in a high-slit strapless Gucci gown. She accessorized it with her signature opera gloves and a fun wavy center part.

Kelsey Ballerini

The draping and ruffles on this Prabal Gurung gown are so intricate and busy, I almost feel like it should look bad, but it’s imperceptibly put together so beautifully. That’s thanks to Gurung’s attention to detail, from the criss-cross at the neck and straps to the sequined beads across the chest. And the way the fabric falls when she walks—it’s so dramatic and ethereal, it looks like she’s floating. But most of all its color, the most perfect bright dandelion. A ray of sunshine on an otherwise dull red carpet.

Cardi B

The structure, the cobalt blue, and the fit! Cardi B is literally the star of the red carpet. Cardi-B fully owns Indian designer Gaurav Gupta’s red carpet couture creations. It’s amazing. -Jessica Radloff, Senior Editor, West Coast

Bebe Rexha

This might be debatable, but Bebe Rexha’s look was one of my favorites of the night. It’s the combination of the pinnacle of the Barbiecore camp and the charm of Miss Piggy, and I’m obsessed with it. In my opinion, that’s what these red carpets are about. Danielle Sine, Associate Beauty Editor

Camila Cabello

I have a feeling for Camila Cabello’s PatBo rosette gown. Pearl bras are cute, and the slit allows for dancing, which is a must at the Grammys. Also, charms and earrings go well with this outfit. Christina Chavez, Associate Director of Social Media
